I first encountered the Minotaur among mist-laced groves brimming with ancient stone pillars and whispers of forgotten rites. Towering and verdant, its moss-encrusted hide makes it nearly indistinguishable from the wild undergrowth—until it charges. Unlike its brutish Grecian cousin, the Minotaur seems more sentient, almost priestly. It wards sacred places and reacts not with mindless violence, but with ritualistic displays and booming vocalizations that echo across the terrain.
Despite its imposing bulk, the Minotaur moves with unsettling grace. Its strength can shear trees with a single sweep of its club-like hands, and some survivors claim it communicates in dreams through visions of roots and vines intertwining beneath a green moon.
